Why are we fundraising?

Arahoe School students are participating in our interactive and fun Spellathon Fundraiser. A strong foundation of spelling can help build an empire of language!

Our students are seeking online sponsorship for their efforts during our Spellathon to help raise vital funds for our school. Funds raised will go towards refurbishing our school hall to make it a quality, learning, playing, and entertaining space for our students and our wider community. This incredible project will be a fantastic resource for our current and future students, as well as our wider community.

The refurbishment project aims to:

- Upgrade the finish on the hall floor and add markings to enable sports to be played there

- Upgrade the kitchen area so that students can use it for learning and groups who use the space can prepare and serve kai

- Improve the sound system so that performances and public events are better supported

- Improve the wall decor with images and messages that reflect our school

This is a great opportunity for our students to participate in improving their literacy skills as well as coming together as a team to fundraise for something very special for our school. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of our extended community.
