Fundraising Project 2019:

Ronald McDonald House Charities

After consultation with their different classes across the school, our Arahoe School Student Councillors have selected Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) as the charitable trust that they would like to support in 2019.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities:

RMHC supports families when their child is in a New Zealand hospital away from home. Their aim is to take care of the practical things in life by offering families accommodation and support while their child is hospitalsed, free of charge. This helps to relieve stresses like paying for a place to sleep near the hospital, organising family meals and providing a friendly ear to listen on tough days. Hospital staff believe having family staying nearby can help speed up the amount of time a child needs to stay in hospital. Feedback from families includes a recognition of the value of a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed close to the hospital and its contribution to strengthening the levels of support they provide for their child. RMHC aim to give families with a hospitalised child what they need most - each other!

Term 2 Fundraising Event:

The first fundraising event for 2019 will be a gold-coin Crazy Hair Mufti Day on Friday, June 7.
