My Lockdown Diary

My Lockdown Diary

A Christchurch artist has created a fantastic children's lockdown diary which offers daily activities for children to keep a positive record of their experiences during the month-long lockdown. The diary contains 28 pages of activities and can be downloaded and printed at home and completed on paper with pencils, pens or crayons.

No printer at home? No problem! My Lockdown Diary can also be downloaded in Powerpoint and completed on the computer and printed later. You can also open the file in Google Slides. Very cool!
From Stephen McCarthy, My Lockdown Diary artist:
"Children sometimes find it hard to talk about what they're feeling and drawing is a way of accessing that. Get the crayons out, do something tangible and away from digital distractions." For parents it was good to see through a child's eyes, to get their perspective, because "sometimes they see things in a different, unclouded way". / Source: Stuff.co.nz
