KEEPING OURSELVES SAFE PROGRAMME
Keeping Ourselves Safe (KOS) is a positive personal safety (child protection) programme that aims to provide children and young people with the skills to cope with situations that might involve abuse. It will help them keep themselves safe in their interactions with other people. KOS was developed in response to an increased awareness and concern among teachers and police of the need to protect young people from abuse. The information below in relation to the KOS programme is from the Police website. Each school does things a little differently. Please see the classroom teacher if you have any questions about the programme or require more information about which modules the class will be covering. We ask Constable Carl to deliver some of the modules to support the classroom teacher.
